OUR MISSION:  HELP PARENTS PROTECT CHILDREN
FROM ONLINE PREDATORS

SafetyBots™ is an easy-to-use digital tool that lets parents know if their child is interacting with strangers online.  This is a hugely important piece of information for parents to have, because predators use seemingly innocent interactions as their opening gambit.  In fact, it only takes 8 minutes for a predator to form a bond with a child.

DOES YOUR CHILD INTERACT WITH STRANGERS ONLINE?

START USING SAFETYBOTS AND FIND OUT.

PROTECTING CHILDREN

10% of tweens and 21% of teens encountered predatory behaviors from someone online.*

There was a 97.5% increase in online enticement reports in 2021.**

Even when there is no physical encounter, online predation and sextortion significantly damage the mental health of children, worsening depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, and self-harm.

HOW SAFETYBOTS WORK

1. At sign-up, parents confirm their identity (as guardian), confidentially enter the social media handles of their child (but not the child's name), and authorize a SafetyBots Check-Up.

2. Do-No-Harm SafetyBots™ are deployed on the various social platforms to check on the child's social media exposure and learn if the child is engaging with strangersThe Do-No-Harm SafetyBots are benign mock-up accounts made to seem real.  They...

  • approach the child innocuously online and attempt to follow or befriend the child’s social media account.

  • attempt to chat very simply with the child to see if the child engages.  “Engagement” is something as simple as saying hello.  This data is important to know, because simple steps like this are part of how predators form bonds.

3. Results + Providing Parental Intelligence.  Parents then receive a confidential and easy-to-understand SafetyBots Check-Up report on their dashboard.  The parent will know whether their child:

  • allowed a stranger to follow or befriend their account (thereby allowing the stranger to see all posted information and images).

  • chatted with a stranger, even if it’s just exchanging rudimentary “hellos."

4. Equipped with this parental intelligence, parents can then begin to have the important conversations with their children about online safety.  SafetyBots™ provides additional guidance and resources for having these conversations and taking next steps.

PROVIDING PARENTAL INTELLIGENCE

THE ADVANTAGE:

SAFETYBOTS GIVES YOU A YES OR NO ANSWER

Many of the "parental control" apps that attempt universal content monitoring are great.

But some parents feel that those apps can be prone to data overload.

We're focused on a clear, real-world test scenario that directly gauges if your child is vulnerable.  We generate a yes or no answer to the question of whether a child is interacting with strangers online.  The assessment of vulnerability is literally explained in simple green and red checkmarks.
